Northern League Mascots to compete in Shamrock Shuffle.  

For 2010, Schaumburg Flyers Mascot Bearon made a New Year's resolution to exercise more and get fit. So, on a cold Monday in February,  Bearon woke up from his winter hibernation and started in on his morning jog down Wise Road in Schaumburg. Shortly after returning to Alexian Field, Bearon felt so good that he called his pals Rusty in Gary, Jammer in Joliet, and Rocco in Rockford, challenging them to a race this spring in Chicago at the 2010 Shamrock Shuffle. All four Northern League mascots are excited to be part of nearly 40,000 runners who will compete.  During his deep hibernation, Bearon mentally prepared for this race. “I’m ready to win,” is what Bearon might say if he could talk. The Shamrock Shuffle begins and ends in Millennium Park in Chicago on March 21, 2010. Look for the four Mascots to be running near the 11 minute mile pace group and finishing near the one hour mark.
